According to Rolls-Royce, a lot of pre-orders have already been received for the car. A price has not yet been given, but according to the trade magazine Auto Express it would be around 350,000 pounds (400,000 euros).
Rolls-Royce has previously indicated that it wants to electrify all its models within eight years.
Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos expects that by 2024 about one in five new cars sold by Rolls-Royce will be fully electric. “By 2028 that should already be 70 percent of sales and by the end of this decade every Rolls-Royce will be an electric car,” said the CEO.
The sale of new petrol and diesel cars in the UK will be banned from 2030.
