First EM defeats for curling women – second men’s victory

The German curling teams provided a contrasting program at the European Championships in Östersund, Sweden on Sunday.

The women around Skip Daniela Jentsch had to acknowledge their first two defeats of the tournament after two wins on the third day of the European Championship with 7:10 against Norway and 5:7 against Sweden.

On the other hand, the men with Skip Sixten Totzek celebrated their second success in the third tournament game with an 8:6 win against Spain.

The four best teams from the two fields of ten reach the semi-finals. Among other things, the title fights serve as qualification for the 2023 World Cup in Ottawa (April 1 to 9).
