There was some tension beforehand with the organization of the first Bicycle Festival Drenthe, which was held on Saturday 27 August. After the cycling event, the organizing committee was very satisfied. Under beautiful cycling weather, no fewer than 450 participants enjoyed the beautiful cycling route and the musical accompaniment. Given the successful cycling event, it can be assumed that a second edition will follow next year.
