According to the municipality of The Hague, many major events are planned in June, July, August and September, especially now that the corona restrictions are behind us. “Police capacity was already limited and it is now being called upon. Partly due to this lack of capacity on the part of the police, it is not possible to organize the Fireworks Festival next summer,” according to the municipality.
The Scheveningen International Fireworks Festival was to be held on August 12, 13, 19 and 20. From pontoons at sea, professionals would set off ornamental fireworks, watched by tens of thousands of people on the beach.
