Fireworks catches: boy with 130 kilos in the garage, 400 kilos in the house Den Bosch

The police have made several fireworks catches in recent days. A minor boy from Roosendaal had 130 kilos of partly professional fireworks in a garage, a man in Den Bosch had 400 kilos in the hall of his home.

The boy from Roosendaal had the fireworks in the garage of a house on Zundertseweg. The police found the storage on Tuesday after a report.

That same afternoon, the police also caught a 13-year-old boy in Zevenbergen. Enforcers saw that he set off fireworks in the street, while that is only allowed on New Year’s Eve. The police visited his parents’ home and found 20 kilos of professional fireworks there. The boy has been forwarded to HALT. His parents have been fined for storing fireworks.

EOD needed
In Zevenbergschen Hoek, the Defense Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service (EOD) had to be used to dismantle fireworks that had been put together. A 23-year-old man had made about 25 kilos of fireworks himself, which were very explosive. It was in his house. A specialized company disposed of the fireworks.

The police also made a discovery in Den Bosch: there the police found 400 kilos of fireworks in the hall of a house on Burchtenlaan on Wednesday. This happened after an anonymous tip. All fireworks have been confiscated. The 48-year-old resident will be questioned as a suspect at a later date.
