In the department of Finistère, the fire has affected almost 250 hectares of vegetation in the large heathland of Monts d’Arrée. Earlier this summer, more than 1,700 hectares of heath, spruce and deciduous trees were reduced to ashes in the same nature reserve.
In the Morbihan department, 75 hectares of vegetation went up in flames on Saturday and in the night from Saturday to Sunday.
In Erdeven, a coastal town not far from the Quiberon peninsula, not only did 25 hectares burn down, but about 300 people also had to be evacuated. No injuries were reported and no homes were eventually hit.
