Firefighters save American classic car that catches fire

An American old-timer caught fire on Saturday afternoon in front of the entrance of the care institution Woenselse Poort in Eindhoven. The back seat of the car suffered a lot of damage. The fire is believed to have been started by a cigarette. The fire brigade managed to extinguish the car in time because there was a large gas tank in the back of the car.

The fire brigade, in consultation with the owner, removed the back seat from the car to be able to extinguish the fire properly. The owner of the American classic car suspects that the fire in the back seat was started by a smoldering cigarette. The back seat was next to the oldtimer during the extinguishing and has a lot of damage.
