Firefighters evacuate a hundred passengers from a damaged train between Manlleu and Torelló

Four fire departments work this Tuesday night in the evacuation of a hundred people of a damaged train between Manlleu and Torello (Osona) where this afternoon there was an intense storm.

Civil Protection has activated the phase of pre-alert of the emergency plan railway companies Ferrocat, after the infrastructure management company, Adif, has reported that due to catenary problems it has been necessary to cut the lline R3 in both directions in this stretch.

As reported by Renfe, the incident took place at 7:45 p.m. and an alternative road service has been arranged to redirect traffic in the area affected by the incident. The train is stopped about 500 meters from Torelló station.

There has been another train affected, but this one has stopped at the same station, so the intervention of the Fire Department has not been necessary to evacuate them.
