The fire brigade volunteer is busy for hours around his own burning building this Wednesday. Where he normally prepares snacks and meals with his wife Fiona, in the kitchen on the ground floor, he now had to watch his own butcher shop burn down. “It was only when they arrived on the scene that he saw that his own butcher’s shop was on fire. The report was initially created on a different house number,” says Wendy Franke, of the Twente Fire Brigade.
