Football pro Jack Jones of the New England Patriots has been arrested for having two firearms in his carry-on at Boston Logan International Airport.
As the police of the US state of Massachusetts announced on Friday, the cornerback is to be charged in the East Boston District Court in the coming week. The Patriots were notified of the arrest.
Jones, 25, was charged on two counts of illegal firearm possession, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of a concealed weapon in a secured airport area, possession of ammunition without a firearms license and possession of a large-capacity gun.
Jones was selected by the six-time Super Bowl champion in last year’s NFL draft in the fourth round. He made 13 appearances in his rookie season.
