Scary early Tuesday morning!
A fire broke out in an underground car park on Puschkinallee in Treptow around 3 a.m. Several vehicles were on fire. The fire department was on duty with six vehicles and around 100 emergency services. Two hours after the fire broke out, the flames were extinguished shortly after 5 a.m. and emergency services are now checking the building.
The entire block of houses on the corner of Puschkinallee and Elsenstrasse was switched off.
According to current information, more than two cars burned. The underground car park on Puschkinallee is part of a multi-storey building complex; all residents of the house were evacuated in time and were not injured. 35 people were looked after on a bus.
Since several fires burned in different locations in the underground car park, the police assume arson. According to residents, the doors to the house and the underground car park had not been lockable for a long time, meaning that strangers had access at any time.
