A fire broke out in an apartment on Nelseon Mandelastraat last night around 0.15 am. This is the second time in a week that there has been a fire in this house. The fire service and police are investigating the cause.
The occupant of the apartment was not home during the fire. No one was injured. “A number of neighbors from surrounding apartments have been asked to go outside for a while,” a spokesman for the security region said. “When the fire was out, they were soon able to go home.”

Last Friday evening around 9.45 pm there was also a fire in the apartment. The spokesman for the security region does not know what caused the fire on Friday.
The cause of last night’s fire is still unclear. “The fire department and the police are conducting a fire investigation to see what happened,” he says. “The house is closed and no longer accessible.”
