A fire broke out in the Scapino on the Hoofdstraat in Stadskanaal this morning. The fire service speaks of a very large fire. Buildings around the store are being evacuated.
The fire service advises residents to keep windows and doors closed to prevent smoke nuisance. It is also recommended to turn off the mechanical ventilation in the house.
In Stadskanaal, the fire brigade receives help from, among others, the corps from Gasselternijveen.
