A fire raged for a short time this afternoon in the De Anloop care center in Schoonebeek. As a result of the fire, a healthcare worker had to go to the hospital by ambulance.
According to bystanders, an air fryer in one of the apartments has caught fire. This caused the house to fill with smoke. The fire brigade left after ventilating the house.
The resident of the home was unharmed, but a healthcare worker was transported to hospital by ambulance.
