A fire broke out in a house on the Valkruid in Nieuw-Buinen last night.
Firefighters smashed the front door window because someone was still in the house. The resident was found and removed from the house. It is not known how he or she is doing.
The air ambulance came to the scene to provide assistance. Fire brigades from Borger, Gasselternijveen, 2e Exloërmond and Gieten were also called up.
