The thatched roof of a farm in the Noordeind street in Emmen caught fire on Thursday evening. The fire spreads meters high from the roof of the uninhabited farm, which is owned by entrepreneur Vasco Rouw.
The fire brigade quickly arrived at the scene of this ‘middle fire’ and closed the street. Noordeind is one of the oldest parts of Emmen. There are two national monuments in the street: dolmen the long grave and the historic farm De Nabershof, which is now a museum.
