Several residents were evacuated this evening following a medium-sized fire in a housing association on Jacob Roggeveenstraat in Den Helder. The Safety Region reports that the fire is now under control.
Around 7:50 p.m. a fire broke out in a house on Jacob Roggeveenstraat in Den Helder. According to the North Holland North Safety Region, this concerns a fire in a residential association.
The fire is now under control. A spokesperson for the Safety Region said: “As a precaution, residents from several apartments have been asked to leave their homes temporarily.” It is not clear how the fire started and whether there were any injuries.
