In a care institution on the Kees Broekestraat in Alkmaar, a fire raged in the night from Sunday to Monday. The fire broke out on the first floor around 1.45 am and could be extinguished quickly, according to a spokeswoman for the security region. All sixteen residents have been evacuated and have to spend the night elsewhere. No one was hurt.
“There is a lot of smoke and water damage, which is why the residents cannot return tonight,” said the security region.
