A 5-year-old boy had climbed so high into a tree this afternoon at Hesselterbrink in Emmen that he no longer dared to go down on his own. The fire brigade had to be called in to ‘free’ the child.
With a cherry picker, a firefighter pulled the boy out of the tree. Once downstairs he was able to jump into his mother’s arms to recover from the shock.
