Fire brigade rescues two guinea pigs from burning Zaandam home

A fire broke out in a house in Zaandam on Sunday evening. It is not yet clear how the fire could have started. No one was injured, but the fire brigade managed to save two guinea pigs from the fire.

The fire broke out around a quarter to nine this evening in a house on Bouwmanspad in Zaandam. According to the fire brigade, the fire was short, but intense. About 45 minutes later the fire was out. The damage to the house is extensive.

It is not clear exactly how the fire could have started. What is clear is that the fire started in the bedroom. No one was home during the fire. The fire brigade did rescue two guinea pigs.
