Fire brigade prevents worse in house fire in Assen

On the Rosa Spierweg in the Asser district of Kloosterveen, the fire brigade managed to prevent worse this morning in a house fire. No one was injured.

The fire was reported around 10.15 am by a resident of the house, who saw smoke in the house when he returned home and called the fire brigade. When firefighters arrived, most of the house was already full of smoke.

After the resident handed over the key, firefighters went looking for the seat of the fire, which was in the meter cupboard. What caused the short circuit remains to be determined.

After the fire was extinguished, the fire brigade focused on ventilating the house.
