The fire brigade saved a young beef from the water next to a meadow at the Barlaaksedijk in Standdaarbuiten on Thursday morning. It was tackled with a crane from the stream, which mothers were waiting for the animal on the side. The animal was not injured.
How the cattle ended up in the water is unknown.
