In the night from Friday to Saturday there was a fire at the Witte outbuilding behind the Wilhelmina Hospital in Assen, better known as the tea house. Police and fire brigade were quickly on site and extinguished the fire.
The tea house dates from 1813 and is a national monument. What the damage to the building is after the fire is still unknown.
