A mountain of paper waste is on fire at a recycling company on the Locht industrial estate in Veldhoven. The fire broke out around 2 a.m. Wednesday. The fire brigade is on site with three fire trucks to fight the fire.
The fire is raging at the Baetsen/Remondis waste processing company. The burning mountain of paper waste is located under a roof near a shed. There is a lot of smoke.
“We expect to be busy with firefighting in the coming hours,” said an information officer from the security region. The smoke goes straight up. He does not expect any inconvenience to local residents.
