A fire ravaged the European distribution center of Danish jewelry brand Pandora in Hamburg over the weekend.
Pandora said in a statement that the fire has since been extinguished and no people were directly affected by the incident. After inspecting the center, Pandora added that all jewelry inventory is intact and expects distribution to return to “normal” in a few weeks.
To reduce the disruption caused by the incident, Pandora explained that deliveries to the European stores will be handled through the Thai distribution center to ensure business continuity. However, online sales via external sales partners are not affected.
“The initial assessment is that the Pandora stores in Europe are holding inventory to maintain sales until the European distribution center becomes operational again,” Pandora said.
Pandora is the world’s largest jewelry brand, selling its affordable pieces in more than 100 countries through over 6,400 points of sale, including more than 2,400 stores.
