A fire broke out briefly in the Jumbo on Geldropseweg in Eindhoven around a quarter past nine on Monday evening. The fire brigade pulled out with several vehicles, but it soon turned out not to be too serious
The store was evacuated after a lot of smoke developed in the warehouse. The fire brigade scaled up to a medium fire, but that turned out not to be necessary. The fire brigade responded with two fire trucks and a cherry picker. At around a quarter to ten, part of the fire brigade returned to the barracks.
Leaking oil line
The cause of the fire was quickly found. A leaking oil pipe from an installation turned out to be the culprit. The store is going to call a company to fix the leak. With that, the work was done for the fire brigade.
