Fiorello come back to talk about Sanremo to Long live Rai2!. After the announcement about Marco Mengoni who will be co-host of the first evening of the Festival, the showman returns with a new alleged scoop on the singing event which concerns post-Amadeus. In fact, 2024 will be the last Sanremo hosted by Amadeus. And, according to Fiorello’s revelations, A non-Rai face could replace him.
Amadeus’ last Sanremo
«I say it officially: this is my last Festival»: thus, in an interview given in June to FQ Magazine, Amadeus revealed its intention to leave the management of Sanremo after the 2024 edition. «Five in a row is a lot. Having equaled Pippo Baudo and Mike Bongiorno is an honor. If I were asked in a few years I could return, in the future yes but now I have to stop” he added, leaving no doubts about his professional future.
Fiorello: «A non-Rai face for Sanremo 2025»
Now it is Fiorello himself who returns to the topic. «In 2025 they asked Amadeus again to be artistic director, but the ideas are different.” he said on the Nov. 7 episode of Long live Rai2!. «He is not a Rai character» he then added. It is not clear whether Fiorello’s is a real scoop or just a joke and something invented. His words, meanwhile, have already made the rounds on the web.
A face from Canale 5?
Fiorello, then, pressed by the curiosity of Biggio and Casciari, also revealed where the host of Sanremo 2025 could come from. “Let’s say the numbers” he is asked. «It is not one, not two, not three, not four, not six». “You skipped the high five,” he is pointed out. A reference to Canale 5? Could the next host of the Festival come from Canale 5? Fiorello does not respond directly but simply says: «Gentlemen, I didn’t say anything.
