Fintea Center: the best alternative to non-invasive pain treatment

Centro Fintea is a team of doctors specialized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry) and in ultrasound-guided Interventionism aimed at the evaluation, monitoring and treatment of patients with chronic pain and spasticity. “We carry out the procedures under ultrasound and fluoroscopy guidance, as well as indicate pharmacological and rehabilitation treatments, achieving a multidisciplinary follow-up of pain and spasticity for central nervous system lesions with greater safety and better results for our patients. Our main objective as specialists is to ensure that the patient can recover the maximum functionality of his body and quality of life caused by these conditions ”, clarify Drs. Ariel Marcelo Finkelsteyn (MN 107,449) and Gastón Espinet (MN 134,778) Physicians and specialists in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from the University of Buenos Aires and co-Directors of Centro Fintea.

– How did you come to the specialty of pain treatment?

When I did my training at the IREP (Institute for Psychophysical Rehabilitation) in Physiatry (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) in 2006, I became interested in training in the treatment of musculoskeletal pain. And I began to train in postgraduate courses and workshops in Regenerative Medicine, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and regenerative therapy injections to treat dysfunctions of different tissues such as tendons, ligaments, joints, fascias, muscles and nerves. At Fintea, in addition to co-directing the center, I carry out evaluations and non-surgical treatment of chronic musculoskeletal pain.

– What other treatments do you perform?

We do different treatments to manage pain in the joints and spine, such as Prolotherapy, Platelet Rich Plasma, Stem Cells, Hydrodissection of fascias and nerves, Ozone Therapy, Shock Waves and Dry Needling.

– What is the result of the application of all these treatments?

Patients have the benefit of improving their quality of life, improving mobility and lowering chronic pain, which is pain that lasts for more than three months. With these regenerative techniques they can improve their symptoms, in some cases be cured and in many other cases, directly, avoid surgery.

– Do you also train other doctors with these techniques?

Yes, we are also medical trainers through practical workshops on the upper limb, lower limb, spine and pelvis. We have a one-week and one-month rotation in regenerative injection therapies under ultrasound guidance, in which interested physicians can train.
