Finns bought these loose candies last year – One flavor is growing in popularity

Candyking’s favorite candies from last year are listed.

The popularity of loose sweets continues to grow after the slump caused by the corona, says Cloetta’s press release.

The bulk confectionery market has grown strongly since the corona virus, according to estimates, by a good 10 percent in 2023. The release estimates that the reason for the market’s growth is the bulk confectionery selections modified according to consumers’ wishes and improved hygiene, for example by washing the candy scoops every time after use.

The most popular loose sweets have kept their place in the top ten.

– The popularity of spicy candies can be seen especially on TikTok, where young people are fans of them. Last year’s surprise, however, has been Tupla Crispy Puffs. In the stores where it is in the selection, it has become one of the best-selling loose sweets, says Cloetta’s product group manager Elina Levonmaa in the bulletin.

The flavor combinations of salmiak and fruit have traditionally been Finns’ favorite candies. For some time now, the trend of tangy candies has been visible. Toffee candies, on the other hand, have become favorites in Sweden. In Finland, they are not yet among the 10 most purchased.
