Finnish surprise! Great performance from Niko Kytösaho in the World Championships on the lentomäki

At the Mäkihypy lentomäki World Championships, a Finnish surprise was seen on Friday. Niko Kytösaho placed seventh in Austria.

Kytösaho cut the longest jump of the entire opening round. The jump carried no less than 232.5 meters on the HS235 hill in Kulm, Austria.

The jump was enough for a shared seventh place in the opening round. It resulted in 207.5 points. The number one in the opening round was Slovenia Timi Zajcwho scored 224.8, even though the jump extended to 228.5 meters in the air.

Kytösaho’s second jump was also excellent. It carried to 218.5 meters, and his total points were 409.5. The victory was taken by Zajc (435.8) before Austria Stefan Kraft (423.5). Norway took third place Johann Andre Forfang (418.7).

The rest of the Finns were left in the first round Kasperi Valto (33:s), Eetu Nousiainen (38:s) and Antti Aalto (41:s).
