The World Series competition in the Supersport class of track motorcycling was suspended on Sunday in Spain by a Finnish driver Niki Tuulen27, after a fall.
Tuuli struggled in the last round of the race by Jorge Navarro with and lost control of his bike. Tuuli had time to fall off the bike, but hit the ground while sliding violently on the track embankment.
After the fall, Tuuli was taken to the railway hospital and from there to the local hospital for more detailed examinations.
The Finnish driver’s team PTR Triumph said on X (formerly Twitter) that Tuuli was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The team wished the Finn a speedy recovery.
The competition was stopped immediately after the Finn’s fall.
