Finnish Santeri received two Grammy nominations

Producer Santeri Kauppinen is once again nominated for Grammy winner.

There are also Finns among the Grammy nominees in the American music industry. Producer Santeri Kauppinenor MDS, is nominated in the categories Best Global Music Album (world music album) and Best Global Music Performance (world music performance).

Kauppinen has been producing Burna Boy’s album Love Damini and the artist Last Last – song.

In addition to Kauppinen, there are other Finns who wrote the song Last, Last, and are also nominated; Mikael Haataja and Samuel Haataja ( Off & Out) and Robert Laukkanen (Reuben).

Kauppinen is a Grammy nominee for the second time, the last time he was nominated in 2017. Among Finnish artists, Kauppinen has produced for example JVG and Mikael Gabrielin music.

The Grammys will take place on February 5 in Los Angeles. The pop singer who released his Renaissance album in July Beyonce collected no less than nine category nominations. Rap artist Kendrick Lamar received eight nominations, while the singers Adele and Brandi to Carl seven nominations.

Abba, who made a comeback from our neighboring country, also received four nominations.

Finns have won Grammy awards, but not in recent years. Soprano Karita Mattila has won the award in 1998 and 2004. Bass Matti Salminen in turn in 1992 and 1996. Conductors Esa-Pekka Salonen and also Osmo Vänskä have both won Grammys.
