Finland’s best beer 2022

The title of the best beer of 2022 went to Kymenlaakso.

Finland’s Best Beer 2022 is Takatalo & Tompuri Brewery’s Kaski Savubock. It is a 6.5 percent beer.

Finland’s Best Beer was chosen from among 14 series winners. Kaski Savubock competed in the other beers series, which it also won, the release states.

The international final jury warmed up to the beer only after several tastings. After tasting the smoked beer, the jury characterized Savubock as multidimensional and balanced. The beer won after convincing the judges with its fullness.

The winnings of the fourteenth series were distributed to breweries all over Finland, from Pori to Joensuu and Vaasa. Both large and small Finnish breweries can participate in the competition.

The final judging was done as a blind tasting so that the judges were told only the beer style announced by the breweries themselves, in order to avoid preconceived notions.
