Head coach Jukka Jalonen named the Lions team in Tampere on Sunday night. However, that group is not yet the final World Cup team.
Only on Thursday will the first race passes be stamped.
– In the meantime, we will continue to monitor the players playing in Sweden and the NHL, and the final line-up of the World Cup will not be locked until later, GM Jere Lehtinen said.

Well-known players such as the spring 2019 world champions dropped out of the named team Oliwer Kaski and Niko Ojamäki. The latter was also winning Olympic gold last winter in Beijing.
The goalkeeper also dropped out of the group nominated for the Swedish EHT tournament Niclas Westerholmdefenders Otto Leskinen, Vili Saarijärvi and Kalle Maalahti as well as the attacker Markus Nenonen.
The World Cup tournament in Tampere and Helsinki will start next Friday. Finland will face Norway in the opening match.
