Finally! This catering business is open at the Balijbos

We had to wait a long time for it, but it’s finally here. A brand new catering business at the Kurkhout, at the entrance of the Balijbos, has been opened. An ideal place for a fresh cup of coffee with cake or a sandwich during the walk.

The long vacant space has been renovated and it looks beautiful inside. Restaurant Sféra is open this week for guests who feel like coffee with something delicious during the day. Later this week we will also be able to have lunch and dinner there soon.

Coffee, ice cream and sandwiches

Manager Marianna explains: “We want to target a wide audience. Many people from the neighborhood come here for a walk or to walk the dog. That is why we offer a wide choice of coffee specialties, refreshing drinks, ice creams and pastries. From Thursday we will expand with our lunch menu. People can sit inside and outside for a sandwich, cheese sandwich, salad and other lunch dishes.”

Thai restaurant

Initially, Sféra wanted to focus on Thai cuisine. Because this does not attract all guests, more dishes from the International kitchen will be on the menu. You can certainly eat Thai, but Dutch dishes, burgers with fries, pasta, pizza, and vegetarian dishes are also on the menu. Dining will be possible from next week. “And we also get an extensive cocktail list,” says Marianna.

On the terrace there are cozy round benches from where you have a beautiful view of the Balijbos. Fire pits and plants are added for a relaxed atmosphere.
