“It’s finally going to happen this year. Where I was inspired by the eighties on the previous album, this time we used the zeros. It’s just going to be pop music again, but more melancholic and in an alternative guise,” says Roxeanne.
The singer has not yet set a date for the album’s release. “I’m not going to do that to myself either. But I did give myself the deadline that it should be this year. It will probably be the fall.”
Roxeanne Hazes in therapy
Last year, Roxeanne revealed that she gets inspiration for her new record from the therapy she has followed and her search for self-love.
“My last album was very much about heartbreak and heartache,” she said at the time. “I don’t have that anymore. But I still feel heartbreak towards myself. I find myself writing now about finding self-love and closing certain chapters in your life. I’ll go pretty deep to get to that place. After a day of writing I am really broken.”
Holland sings Hazes
In recent weeks, Roxeanne was on stage for the tenth edition of the multi-day event Holland Zingt Hazes in Ziggo Dome. Last week she shared a cute video of her son Fender.
