Techradar saysthat the phone operating system Android 14 would include a fix for a nasty feature that app developers have been abusing for a long time.

In the future, it will be possible for Android users to block full-screen ads brought by applications. The option to prevent notifications that fill the screen will become available in the phone settings.

The matter had been noticed by an Android expert Mishaal Rahman.

If you don’t see the embed, you can watch it from here.

However, by denying notifications, the system allows calls and reminders, for example.

According to Google, which developed Android, full-screen notifications are intended for really important notifications. However, some app developers have misused notifications, for example in ads that fill the entire screen.

Android 14 is currently only available to test users. The operating system is expected to be widely released next month.
