The Drèents Liedtiesfestival is being held for the tenth time. Twenty candidates had registered and the jury selected a selection of nine artists. “There is so much more enthusiasm for it. You can also see the development of music in Drenthe. How many people make music seriously, develop it and make it serious, that has changed,” says director Bert Kamping.
Edwin Jongedijk of the organization is positive about the number of entries. “Different styles. Different themes are treated in the songs. Super diverse and we as a foundation are very happy with that. That is the idea that we are working on as a foundation. We want to appeal to a younger audience and that succeeds every year.”
Jolien Wonink-Dijkstra won last year with the number Fill (oh oh oh)†
