If the decision is made here in Antwerp, “then there is no longer an appeal”, Faroek explains. “That is a very exceptional procedure. If the court of appeal issues a final judgment, it must be very well motivated,” Faroek continues. Faroek adds that it is always possible that one of the lawyers will appeal. “And then it could well be that the whole process, even in the first instance, has to be redone.”
