The final phase of the restoration will start this year. The first two phases of the restoration have been completed. Work was also carried out on the belfry tower and the west wing. The third phase, the work on the east wing, will be completed in the summer of 2024.
“This year, work will start on the slate roof of the cloth halls and now the final phase can also be put out to tender, the work on the wing of the Yper Museum, the council chamber wing, two corner towers and the Nieuwerck,” says Minister Diependaele.
