Final: Feyenoord takes over Lopez from San José Earthquakes | Football

Trainer Arne Slot had been looking forward to reinforcements at left back for some time: „It is the position in which we have been most active with the scouting. Even before the preparations started, we were already looking for a player for that place.”

Lopez is a 19-time international for Peru, and played for USMP and Sporting Cristal in his native country before landing in San Jose. He was leased from the MLS to Reno 1868 in 2020.

Both Feyenoord and the Quakes announced the transfer on their own channels on Monday evening. The California club speaks of a record transfer, although it does not mention any amounts. Lopez is still awaiting his work permit, and therefore not immediately available for Slot.
