Old films experience new times at DVHN. And you can watch them from the comfort of your couch. DVHN, in collaboration with the Drenthe Archives, broadcasts a Drenthe archive film every Sunday.
In 2024, Drenthe filmmakers will be central. In March attention will be paid to the filmmaker and farmer Klaas Nijmeijer from Nijeveen, known in Meppel and the surrounding area. The Drenthe Archives stores no fewer than 96 of his films.
In the 1970s and 1980s, Nijmeijer made recordings of (old) farm life, activity and nature in South Drenthe. He often provided the images with humorous commentary.
