New month, new streaming offer on Amazon Prime Video. In May, the provider will once again be adding a few new series and many new films to its program. TECHBOOK reveals what’s new to see.
Amazon is one of the largest video streaming providers out there. Prime customers of the online retailer can not only use the free premium shipping for 69 euros per year (34 euros for students) or 7.99 per month (then can be canceled monthly), they also have access to Amazon Prime Music and Amazon Prime Video two streaming services available.
So that Amazon Prime Video can keep up with competitors like Netflix and Disney+, the provider expands the selection of series and films every month. The company also produces its own content under the Amazon Originals name. TECHBOOK reveals which new films and series Amazon Prime Video customers can look forward to in June 2022. It should be noted, however, that the offer can be expanded by Amazon at any time.
New series and seasons on Amazon Prime Video in June
As in previous months, the number of new series or seasons that Amazon Prime Video will record in June is limited. At least nine innovations can be found here in the list, but there are a few highlights. The 6th and final season of the hit series “This Is Us” will be available directly from June 1st, and “The Boys” will also be entering its 3rd season. Thriller fans can also look forward to the new BBC production “Chloe”.

This award-winning series tells the story of an unusual family across time levels. The sixth and final season is coming to Amazon Prime Video in June.
The Boys (Season 3) – from June 3rd
In a world in which superheroes enjoy the greatest possible fame and superpowers become a billion-dollar business, a lot of pitfalls await the protagonists. In season three of the popular series, actor Jason Ackles joins in as Soldier Boy.

New movies on Amazon Prime Video in June
In June, Amazon Prime Video users can look forward to a large selection of new films. Comedies like “Miss Undercover” are represented as well as dramas like “Never Rarely Sometimes Always”.
Pokémon Detective Pikachu – Coming June 12th
In the live-action adaptation of the popular classic game from Nintendo, young Tim (Justice Smith) tries to solve the mysterious circumstances surrounding the disappearance of his father, police officer Harry Goodman (Ryan Reynolds). He gets help from a Pikachu and the two get on the track of a big conspiracy.
Cold Blood: In the Footsteps of Truman Capote – out June 19
This film is based on Truman Capote’s biography. The writer (played by Toby Jones) travels to Kansas to investigate a murder for his novel In Cold Blood. He can even contact the incarcerated perpetrator and a special relationship develops between the two.
Rent or buy films and series from Amazon Prime Video
The series and films mentioned above are included in the Amazon Prime subscription and are therefore available to customers free of charge. Apart from that, there is a variety of other content that can be borrowed or bought for a fee. If you rent a film, it is available to you for 30 days, but not indefinitely. After the first start of the content, it remains in the digital video library for only 48 hours.
