The Moscow Region police opened a criminal case after the attack of a fighting dog on a 3-year-old child in the village of Fedyukovo. The boy needed a complex operation. His grandmother, who had to fight off her grandson from an angry dog, has multiple bite marks on her face and hands.
Serafima Alekseeva and her grandson were walking through a cottage settlement when they saw a Staffordshire Terrier running towards them. The dog knocked down the child and clung to him. The grandmother unsuccessfully tried to free her grandson from the death grip of the dog.
“I try to open her mouth. He cries, screams, I scream: help!” – recalls Serafima Alekseeva.
Later, doctors had to sew up several lacerations on the neck. Three-year-old Volodya was saved by multi-layered winter clothes and a thick scarf – a weak, but still a barrier to sharp fangs.
People ran screaming. And even by common efforts it was not possible to calm the terrier for a long time. Jaws finally unclenched. Vova was picked up. But the angry animal did not want to let go of the victim.
At some point, it seemed to people that the boy was no longer breathing. This man saved the baby from death. Nikolay is a cynologist in the past. With all the weight of his body, he pressed the dog to the ground.
It turned out that the aggressive dog, walking around the area without a leash and a muzzle, had repeatedly attacked local residents and their pets.
“We assume that it was this Staffordshire terrier that grabbed our Tishenka,” a local resident says.
By evening, it became known that the owners supposedly euthanized the animal of their own free will. The investigators carried out the identification procedure and opened a criminal case under the article “grievous harm health by negligence.”
“The police have identified the owner of the dog, as well as her friend, who walked the animal that day. Currently, the police are carrying out all the necessary investigative actions,” said Tatyana Petrova, head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Moscow Region.
