Several fights broke out at the pro-Palestine demonstration in Groningen.
According to the municipality, about 200 people walked from the Nieuwe Markt to the Westerhaven. They demonstrated, among other things, against the bombings from Israel on the Palestinian territories.
Emotions ran high at the Westerhaven, with several groups of demonstrators starting to push and fight. Some say it concerns internal conflicts within the group, but several eyewitnesses also report seeing Syrian demonstrators attacked.
The police eventually intervened.
