Fight for the premier class – setback for Arsenal

Arsenal suffered a defeat against Newcastle. This means that Mikel Arteta’s team is still behind Tottenham – and has to tremble for the Champions League qualification on the last day of the game.

On Matchday 37 of the Premier League, Arsenal lost 2-0 away at Newcastle United to secure a crucial Champions League spot – and remain fifth, two points behind Tottenham.

Arsenal’s Benjamin White scored the goals for Newcastle after a tackle with an own goal (55th minute) and Newcastle’s Bruno Guimarães (85th).

A draw at relegated Norwich City is enough for the “Spurs” on the last day of the game to secure fourth place. Arsenal, on the other hand, are doomed to win at home against Everton on Sunday – and rely on Norwich’s support.
