Also today, a military Airbus flies to Israel to pick up stranded Dutch people. A Multirole Tanker Transport (MRTT) has just taken off from Cologne towards Tel Aviv.

The aircraft will fly back to Cologne later tonight with the Dutch on board. From there, Defense arranges bus transport to Eindhoven air base. It is the fifth repatriation flight since the outbreak of the war between Israel and Hamas.
Hundreds brought home
Since the first flight last Thursday, hundreds of Dutch people have been brought home. The passengers on board the flights had registered with the Foreign Affairs Information Service. They were called back and asked if they wanted to join the military aircraft.
