FIFA unveils World Cup mascot for Qatar

A flying white robe called La’eeb is the official mascot for this year’s World Cup in Qatar. This was announced by the world association FIFA at the group draw on Friday in Doha.

“Everyone is invited to interpret how it looks,” FIFA said in a statement. The Arabic word La’eeb means something like very talented player.

The World Cup in Qatar will take place from November 21st to December 18th.
