FIFA: Ebru “Ebru” Önal “ShEsports Cup”

FIFA influencer Ebru “Ebru” Önal from SV Wehen Wiesbaden has won the “ShEsports Cup” in FIFA 22. Ten of the world’s best players competed in the invitation tournament on International Women’s Day.

“I’m happy that I showed a lot of people how I play FIFA and that women can play FIFA,” Ebru said in the winner’s interview. To win the tournament, she had to go through a real heart-stopping final against the British Lisa “Lisa” Manley.

In two matches plus overtime, it went back and forth between the two finalists. After a 2-2 draw, a third match in Golden Goal mode began – the first goal decided winning the title. Ebru slammed the ball into the top corner in the ninth minute, leaned back and grinned slightly in disbelief.

The influencer became known to a wider public in the past year. On her TikTok channel, she shows around 155,000 fans tips and tricks to get better at FIFA.

Ebru won £1,000 in prize money for her win. The players started from home. It was broadcast from a pink-lit studio.
