The optician group Fielmann started the new year with further growth. In the first quarter, sales climbed by 13 percent in the first quarter, as the company announced its final years in Hamburg on Wednesday.
According to preliminary calculations, the adjusted result before interest, taxes and depreciation (EBITDA) climbed by 28 percent to 146 million euros, the corresponding margin reached 24.2 percent. For the current year, the company therefore assumes continued growth.
The turnover is expected to reach almost 2.5 billion euros. The adjusted Ebitda margin sees Fielmann at 24 percent. The group confirmed the figures for 2024: sales rose 15 percent to 2.3 billion euros. The company benefited from the integration of its US takeovers. The adjusted EBITDA margin reached 21.7 percent. The bottom line is that Fielmann earned a fifth with 154 million euros.
